The monogram, a dhow, for that moment in history when, my grandfather, Shivshanker Kotedia (pictured above) was commissioned by the people of Pemba to design and create a dhow made from 22 karat gold to be presented to a visiting British royal in the 1950s.

As a fourth generation jeweler’s ode to his heritage with focus on crafting jewelry catered to the individual taste, 1905 was the year when my great grandfather started his business as a silversmith in Zanzibar.
This family history piqued my interest in jewelry and led to the path of jewelry design. The passion for the industry, a wealth of knowledge that we have accumulated and the trust placed in us by our clients spanning over a century.
